Privacy
useless.im is run by REALLYBYTE, based in the Isle of Man. Useless himself has no access to anything. He has asked for a password several times.
What this site collects
- No cookies, no adverts, no accounts, no forms.
- Visitor statistics. We use GoatCounter to count page views. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t track you across other sites. It records things like the page you viewed, the referring site, your browser and screen size, and a rough country based on your IP address. Your IP address isn’t stored.
- Visitor counter. The counter in the footer shows GoatCounter’s public visitor count for the page you’re on (or, if that page has no count yet, the total across ReallyByte sites). It is fetched from GoatCounter, may be a few hours behind, and hides itself if it can’t load.
- The Do Nothing Challenge. If you play it, your best time is saved in your own browser (localStorage) so it can show your personal best next time. It is never sent to us. Clear your browser’s site data to remove it.
Links to other sites
The merch button opens REALLYBYTE’s shop section on a separate marketplace site, the “Buy now” and “Support REALLYBYTE” buttons open REALLYBYTE’s store, and other links go to reallybyte.com. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
